Investment Management
We recognize that each client’s investment path is completely unique based on factors, such as financial security and risk tolerance. It is our promise to offer a personalized approach when it comes to managing each client’s investment portfolio. Our approach begins with educating clients on investment options and asset allocation platforms, and continues throughout the life of our partnership, with ongoing monitoring and recommendations on these accounts.

ADVISORY PLATFORM
The advisory platform is a popular option for our clients. This is a holistic approach to investing that ties the wealth management advisor’s compensation directly to the performance of the client’s account. Instead of commissions, our advisors earn an annual fee based on the market value of the account, charged quarterly. The advisory platform encourages the advisor to concentrate on what matters most—building an investment portfolio that seeks to address each client’s specific needs.
As a fiduciary under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the advisor is obligated to act in the client’s best interest and provide them with full and fair disclosure of material conflicts of interest. This allows the advisor to build a solid investment strategy to help the client pursue financial independence. To be objective, an investment strategy must be customized to each client’s unique situation. Through an advisory platform, the advisor builds a custom designed strategy for each client, keeping specific financial situations and goals in mind. It is the client that gets to define financial independence.
The advisor monitors the client’s investment portfolio on an ongoing basis and continues to offer advice as needed. The advisor has discretion and therefore has the ability to place trades, rebalance their portfolio, or make other investment decisions for their account. This discretionary trading capability gives the advisor the ability to react to changes in economic conditions on the client’s behalf. Rebalancing a portfolio may cause investors to incur tax liabilities and/or transaction costs and does not assure a profit or protect against a loss.
BROKERAGE
A brokerage platform offers our clients a hands-on approach to managing their investments. Once investment accounts are set up with the recommendation of one of our wealth management advisors, the client has the ability to guide the investments on their own. Consultation is available from an advisor, but The Priebe Wealth Management Group does not have discretion to manage these investments. In a brokerage relationship, clients typically pay a commission on each transaction within the account and trades are placed based on the clients suitability and risk tolerance.
